On 9.27.2006, the European Patent Office granted ThinPrint GmbH a patent (EP 1 407 369 B1) concerning a procedure for print output for mobile devices. The core of the procedure is the fact that the print job is not generated on the mobile device but on an appropriate server, while the print output still occurs via the mobile device. The Patent is effective in more than 20 European countries.
