Event Check-in, a next-generation guest check-in system for professional event organizers, is the first of many iPad, iPhone and iPod touch applications developed with the to become available on Apple App Store.
SocketScan 10 SDK, designed specifically for the Apple certified barcode scanner, enables iOS developers to add customized support for the barcode scanner to their mobile applications, including advanced features such as broader character support or integrated data manipulation often required in enterprise data collection.
The release of represents the first of many offerings in the Apple App Store by a growing community of iOS developers utilizing SocketScan 10 SDK. Socket Mobile has shipped nearly 200 units of the SDK to the channel for distribution since launching the product earlier this year. Besides Apple iOS, the SDK also supports the Android, BlackBerry, and Windows platforms.

The solution, which also integrates SMS and live cloud data, has already been successfully deployed at several large-scale corporate events in the United Kingdom.
