TORONTO, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 11/10/11 — Attn: Business and Technology Editors
, a Toronto-based provider, announced that it has been selected as a finalist in the Application Integration category for the . The ninth annual IMPACT Awards recognize excellence within the Microsoft technology partner community in Canada. In July 2011, QLogitek was also recognized as a finalist in this same category for Microsoft-s worldwide awards competition.
“Technology partners are at the core of Microsoft-s business,” said Neil Tanner, Vice-President, Small Business, Midmarket Solutions & Partners, Microsoft Canada Inc. “We are honoured to celebrate and recognize the outstanding achievements of industry leaders like QLogitek through the Microsoft Partner Network IMPACT Awards. We are proud to work with them as they deliver innovative solutions to mutual customers.”
QLogitek was chosen as a finalist in the Application Integration Partner of the Year award category for delivering a solution in the middleware and integration space on a Microsoft technology platform. The company significantly enhanced its internal operations with the most recent release of the and, in doing so, achieved improved integration time and supply chain trading partner visibility for its customers. A desire to improve the agility and transparency of its IT infrastructure, which hosts critical supply chain transactions for leading North American enterprises, pushed the solution forward. “Any downtime is unacceptable. If our systems went down, our customers would not be able to take orders, manage distribution centres, or track products,” explains John Magalhaes, Executive Vice President of Technology Solutions at QLogitek. Along with enhancements to its error-handling processes, the company created a self-service web application called Trading Partner eXchange. The application speeds up the time that it takes a trading partner to connect to its retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) hub organization for EDI order fulfillment by 90%. The solution has been deployed across a number of QLogitek-s North American enterprise clients.
BizTalk forms the core operational technology used within numerous enterprises in Canada as it facilitates the connection of disparate technology processes and applications. It is used most heavily in the manufacturing, retail, CPG, healthcare and financial services industries. Since the natural platform progression from BizTalk is to Windows Azure, QLogitek has gained the flexibility to expand its offerings into the public cloud. “We are pleased to receive this recognition for technology integration, as this is at the core of our business. Delivering our mission-critical offerings on the Microsoft platform provides us with the agility to make our applications rapidly available to small companies or large enterprises around the globe,” said Isa Qureshi, EVP and COO at QLogitek.
QLogitek, along with other technology partner winners and finalists in each of the award categories, will be honored at an award ceremony in Toronto on November 30, 2011.
