PHOENIX, AZ — (Marketwire) — 10/13/11 — At its annual Partner Summit, being held Oct. 12-14 in Phoenix, ®, the global leader in software for (MSPs) and IT departments, today announced a new multi-pronged investment initiative designed to fuel MSP sales by further eliminating the traditional barriers that keep small to midsize businesses (SMB) from adopting managed services.
“In the year since our last partner summit, we-ve been in a tremendous growth mode, in part due to the freemium release last fall that helped stimulate 175 percent growth with our SMB base since January 2010,” says N-able CEO Gavin Garbutt, who delivered the keynote address at the event. “Now, we-re investing even more heavily into the technology and our partners to take that growth forward to the next level in the coming year.”
The new initiative and offering includes several key components:
$100 million in N-central Essential licenses will be offered to enable MSPs at no cost to manage all of their customer devices, achieve 100 percent IT coverage with existing customers and win new SMB customers.
N-able-s new , an IT reporting solution that helps MSPs easily demonstrate technical and business value to SMBs and sell more individual managed services.
New freemium offerings include N-able-s and Policy Manager | GPO Enforcer tools.
At the foundation for this next phase in N-able-s ongoing freemium campaign are its licenses. At the Summit, Garbutt announced a tiered freemium program that offers huge incentives to new and existing partners. For example, any partner with 250 N-able Professional licenses, or a new partner purchasing 250 Professional licenses, will receive 5,000 Essential licenses, enabling all partners to capture any outstanding elements of their customers- environments, as well as take a first step into new SMB environments.
This freemium offer is driven by technology innovations and investments made by N-able. In addition to the Essential offer, the new program also features the company-s new tool, GPO Enforcer and Security Manager | Anti-Spam.
“Our mission is to win the hearts and minds of our partners and their technicians by delivering continual product innovation. The VMware certification included in N-central 8.1, enhanced remote control capabilities, and the Connect2Help systray icon tool — not to mention a first glimpse of our Advanced Automation Manager — are proof of this commitment,” says Garbutt. He notes that N-able is launching this multipronged initiative in the wake of a , a leading technology-focused private equity firm, which N-able announced last week.
“Overall, our partners should expect that this investment will accelerate N-able-s aggressive road map for 2012, a strategy plan that will bring significant technology and process automation invocations to help put our MSP partners far ahead of their competitors,” says Garbutt.
To further support its partners- growth, N-able is doubling the number of Partner Development Specialists it makes available to MSPs as a resource for improving sales and marketing programs to up sell and cross sell more managed services. Garbutt also expressed N-able-s continuing focus on support for its partners, announcing an expansion of the N-able technical support team as part of the company-s dedication to maintaining the industry-s best support.
MSPs, such as Bill Boisvenue, president of BSC Solutions Group, are pleased with N-able-s continued efforts to stimulate market adoption and help them achieve greater success. “We-re the poster boy for N-able-s freemium model. We-ve had success in selling endpoint security and we-ve given those customers a free Essential license for basic management of a wide variety of devices as well. We also do this for our clients with smaller contracts to add even greater business value,” says Boisvenue. “I-m excited to see where we can take our business in the New Year with the advantage provided by the next phase of N-able-s freemium Essential offering.”
