LOS ANGELES, CA — (Marketwire) — 09/02/11 — Sosbuzz, the deals search engine for conscientious shoppers, recently put Google on notice for infringing on its pending patent, in particular the call back method found on Google-s relatively new “Advisor Mortgages” search result page.
“About six years ago I decided to create a search engine for conscientious shoppers that would offer convenience to searchers, and hot leads to vendors,” says Raffi Sosikian, founder of Sosbuzz, who is a techie with an MBA. “Through our -Sosbuzz Me- call back method; we began to offer our client base the ability to find vendors without the need of having to call each vendor one-by-one to get pricing and other relevant information. If the vendor is hungry for the business, they will promptly call back searchers that request a call back. We ultimately filed our patent in 2009, which is the same year we started using the searcher call back method on our search results. We recently discovered that Google had started using our method on their -Advisor/Mortgages- pages within the past few months. To protect our legal rights, a couple of weeks ago we formally put Google on notice. Their unauthorized use of our pending patent will in fact hasten the process of this patent-s issuance, as we can now file a Petition to Make Special and expedite prosecution through the USPTO.”
A search using the Google “Keyword Tool” reveals mortgage and refinance related keywords drive approximately 20,000,000 searches per month to Google. Mortgage advertisers pay Google for each contact they receive.
