For an entertaining take on how Apache Hadoop is helping companies today, watch Cloudera-s new video — — featuring commentary from Cloudera experts, including Mike Olson and Jeff Hammerbacher, as well as an introduction to the contest from Doug Cutting.
To enter the contest, contestants submit a short video showcasing their original ideas for what Apache Hadoop can do and why they should get the opportunity to hack code with Doug Cutting. A panel of judges from Cloudera will review submissions and select a winner. Contest page visitors can give their favorite contestant-s video a “thumbs up” each day. The Cloudera judges will consider the most popular contestants- submissions when selecting the winner.
Contestants can enter any time between August 24, 2011, and 5:00 p.m. Pacific time on September 16, 2011. Expertise with Apache Hadoop is not necessary.
