The cellity Communicator combines the very best of the freeSMS, groupCALL and worldCALL products and also has services which make mobile communication easier to manage. The cellity Communicator thus transforms your cellphone into a feature-rich communication tool. “To put it in the simplest terms, the cellity Communicator turns any conventional cellphone into a smartphone,” explains Sarik Weber, founder and member of the cellity Executive Board.
True business features for all cellphones
Phonebook entries can be easily reactivated in case of loss or the purchase of a new cellphone thanks to the cellity-developed backup function: Just one or two clicks are needed to easily back up phonebook entries to the cellity server using a secured connection. The backup of your phonebook can be accessed at any time. “The nuisance of synchronizing data between your cellphone and computer are made a thing of the past. If you lose your cellphone, at least you still have all your contacts,” explains Sarik Weber.
“Another feature is like using your TV’s remote. You can make call by pushing Remote and entering the phone numbers of who you want to call and any other working phone,” adds Sarik Weber. cellity’s server dials your number—such as the landline number in your hotel room—and then connects you to who you want to talk to. To initiate the service, after selecting the call destination, all users need to do is enter the hotel room phone number and start the call. This solution completely cuts roaming charges out of the call.
The freeSMS feature: text messages sent over a data pipeline
Text messages offer a high degree of savings potential—each year there are 1.9 billion text messages sent worldwide. “But sending text messages in particular often becomes a trap,” says Sarik Weber, adding “sending text messages using the cellity Communicator is free for cellity users—only data transfer charges are incurred as specified in your calling plan.” And there is ample space available for text messages—the freeSMS function makes 2,048 characters per message instead of the usual 160 characters. In addition, the short messages can be sent to several recipients at the same time at no further cost. It is also possible to send text messages to the cellity server and then onward via a normal cellular network. “This means you can also reach your friends who don’t have the cellity Communicator suite or the freeSMS service installed,” adds Sarik Weber. Each 160 character text message costs 9 cents.
The groupCALL function: get on the line with all your buddies at the same time.
“Call a group of friends at the push of a button—that’s the idea behind the groupCALL function. People you might call include a circle of close friends, the guys on your sports team or business partners too,” explains Sarik Weber. Anybody taking part in the call is immediately connected with the caller, without being put on hold. Charges for this service are modest. One groupCALL with five participants costs as little as 27 cents a minute. No charges are incurred for those receiving a groupCALL.
The worldCALL function: talk to Australia or the North Pole at great savings.
People who make international calls can finally keep costs down with the cellity Communicator. Cellphone users dial the number they want to reach the way they normally would. Within a few seconds the cellity server responds and initiates a call between the two parties—at up to 90 percent savings on usual call rates.
