IP Expo Manchester 2017: DataCore Showcases Innovations in Hyper-Converged and Software-Defined Storage Appliances

Stand M246, IP Expo, Manchester Central, 26th April, 2017 – Having supported the IP Expo London event since its inception, DataCore Software has this year extended backing to IP Expo Manchester to service its growing Northern base of customers and partners. DataCore will be showing attendees the latest developments in its Hyper-converged Virtual SAN, SANsymphony Software-Defined Storage (SDS) and underlying Parallel I/O Processing technology. A further key onsite discussion will be the strategic OEM partnership between Lenovo and DataCore, which has resulted in a range of fully integrated turnkey appliance solutions designed to simplify the adoption of software-defined storage – the Lenovo Storage DX8200D Powered by DataCore – was officially unveiled by Lenovo last month.

This turnkey Software-defined Storage (SDS) appliance leverages Lenovo’s robust server platform combined with advanced storage virtualisation and multi-core parallel I/O optimisation software within SANsymphony from DataCore Software. Lenovo is offering the DX8200D as a pre-integrated, ready to go appliance that greatly simplifies deployment and reduces management expenses while providing a single point of support. This Lenovo appliance family, powered by DataCore’s advanced enterprise Software-Defined Storage services and parallel processing capability, will allow data centres in the North of the UK to rapidly deploy a turnkey solution that harnesses the capabilities of their existing SAN arrays. The appliance optimises heterogeneous storage infrastructures, enabling true scalability and providing continuity as needs grow and older storage arrays must be replaced. Through the centralised DataCore management interface, the DX8200D provides data protection, replication, de-duplication, compression and other enterprise storage capabilities at a much lower price point than traditional SAN arrays.

“It’s great to be on exhibiting in Manchester and even better to be there showcasing the Lenovo DX8200D Powered by DataCore,” commented Neil Crispin, Regional Director, DataCore Software. “It resonates with prospects as it’s an easy route to get started with Software-Defined Storage. This turnkey appliance deploys non-disruptively into any environment, delivering immediate savings and performance benefits.”

Additionally, certified Microsoft and VMware expert attendees can pick up not-for-resale (NFR) license keys at IP Expo. This NFR is available for non-production uses such as home labs, course development, training, feature testing and demonstration purposes – and is intended to support virtualisation consultants, instructors and architects involved in efforts aimed at managing and fully leveraging storage assets. Usage proves first-hand how DataCore’s parallel processing power is unmatched in high-performance hyper-converged infrastructure. The NFR license keys are available at no cost to qualified experts and may also be obtained by registering at: http://info.datacore.com/free-NFR-Microsoft-Professionals. VMware professionals can download at http://info.datacore.com/free-NFR-VMware-Professionals. Keys must be used for non-production purposes only, and are valid through May 2017.
