Munich, Germany, April 11th 2017 – VERMES Microdispensing, the micro dispensing system manufacturer, today introduced the new MDS 3250+ system of its MDS 3000 Micro Dispensing Series for high viscosity media. The new high-performance jetters are designed for ultra-precise contactless dispensing of fluids in a large range of viscosity up to 2.000 Pas.
VERMES Microdispensing’s system development banks on the specially designed FEM & CFD modeling software that allows for the company’s experts to perform a full 3-D simulation of the VERMES Microdispensing valve including the piezo-electric, mechanical and fluidic formulations characterizing the dynamic responses of a system in real operation. With this deep understanding of the system dynamics particular application scenarios can be simulated and essential factors that influence efficiency are identified. VERMES valves are known for their precision and durability. An exact pairing of nozzle and tappet is getting more and more critical when nano- and sub-nano microdispensing quality is required.
“This simulation driven product development has become an important aspect in our highly innovative and future orientated firm. By performing a multitude of simulations our R&D department has the freedom of running extensive what-if analyses during the development phase, whereby the design can be optimized at an early stage”, states Juergen Staedtler, CEO of VERMES Microdispensing.
The MDS 3250+ incorporates a highly efficient piezo actuator that leads to higher stroke and force, which makes the system suitable for highest viscous media such as SMT adhesives, silicones, LED-phosphor, underfill materials, hot melts or solder pastes. The high speed piezo technology accelerates the dispense cycle with extremely fast opening and closing times of the valve that results in highest throughput and enhanced system performance.
Fully automated production lines require shortest set-up times and fast process configuration. With the novel “Quickadjust” VERMES Microdispensing offers an extremely user-friendly feature that allows adjustment of tappet and nozzle from the top instead from below. This does not only facilitate system accessibility and but also leads to highly precise adjustment results.
“With the new MDS 3250+ system VERMES Microdispensing has designed a high-volume manufacturing dispense-tool that provides extremely reproducible dispensing outcomes of identical single dots down to 0.8 nanoliter”, explains Juergen Staedtler. “It is the dispense system of choice for all production plants, such as automotive, semiconductor, microelectronics and consumer electronics, where ultra-precise contactless dispensing of high viscosity fluids is needed.”
