DUBLIN, BONN – February 22, 2017. Anam Technologies is delighted to announce their partnership with Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS) to provide comprehensive managed A2P SMS filtering services to the international mobile operator customers of ICSS. The joint initiative will deliver services that protect mobile networks from SMS abuse and unwanted SMS traffic by blocking A2P messages sent via unauthorized channels.
The ICSS Signaling for International Roaming solution provides access to over 800 mobile networks in more than 200 countries. The combined solution of Anam and Deutsche Telekom ICSS boasts a broad range of dynamic traffic filtering capabilities based on real-time monitoring. The suite of managed services delivers in-depth A2P traffic analysis and reporting, management of filtering rules and grey route identification.
According to Mobilesquared, the A2P messaging sector was worth $17.21 billion as of the end of 2016, with that amount expected to rise to $58.75 billion by 2020. During that timeframe, the average enterprise-SMS communication will double from 0.5 per day and per subscriber to 1 per day, on a global basis. However, it has also been predicted that the revenue leakage caused by grey-route messaging will cost upwards of $82 billion between 2015-2020.
Gergely Vadas, Head of ICSS Mobile World at Deutsche Telekom, welcomed the partnership: “Anam brings a complete suite of protection. Partnering with the best-in-class provider fits nicely into our strategy. Security is at the very core of the solutions we offer to mobile operators and carrier customers. Our tailored solutions protect mission-critical infrastructure from network abuse, fraud and spam.”
Commenting on the partnership, Anam’s Director of Sales, Clive Steady stated: “We are delighted to have been chosen by Deutsche Telekom as their A2P partner and look forward to working with the ICSS team to add further value to their mobile operator base. The potential to monetise A2P is enormous and we are committed to DT’s focus on achieving this in the overall context of great quality SMS based services. The partnership provides operators with exceptional filtering and reporting levels on international SMS via a centralised firewall with an additional scope to cover domestic SMS traffic through the use of local firewalls.”
