(NASDAQ: DGLY) (“Digital” or the “Company”), which develops, manufactures and markets advanced video surveillance products for law enforcement, homeland security and commercial applications, today announced the receipt of bundled order from the Monroe County Sheriff–s Department for its FirstVu HD body-worn cameras, DVM-800 in-car digital audio/video systems, and patented VuLink® connectivity systems.
The Monroe County Sheriff–s Department has selected Digital Ally as its in car audio/video and body-worn camera provider due to the Company–s ability to provide an end-to-end video solution and integrate the ecosystem with patented VuLink® auto-activation technology, which provides “hands-free activation” of the Company–s FirstVu HD body-worn camera and DVM in-car systems and multiple recordings of the same event from different perspectives to be captured for a more comprehensive recording. “The auto-activation technology that our VuLink® provides is becoming the standard in almost all proposals for body-worn camera equipment. The Company–s VuLink® technology will automatically activate the FirstVu HD body-worn camera as well as the DVM in-car based on event triggers. For example, when the light bar on a police cruiser is activated, the officer–s body camera will automatically begin recording in conjunction with the vehicle–s in-car system, eliminating the chance any distraction will prevent the body camera from recording. Additionally, VuLink® allows officers to remotely activate their in-car system from their body-worn camera in order to capture incidents comprehensively from all angles.
