Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

According to industry statistics women comprise 47 percent of the U.S. workforce, but only 24 percent of the personnel at durable-goods manufacturers. At a time when U.S. manufacturers are desperate to find the next generation of skilled workers, engineers and managers, women represent the largest pool of untapped talent. In this thought-provoking panel discussion, Rosie the Riveter 2.0: Recruiting and Retaining Women in Manufacturing, several prominent women in manufacturing will share their perspectives on how to support, promote and inspire women who are pursuing, or who have chosen to pursue, careers in manufacturing. The panel discussion will be held on Thursday, October 27 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm and will feature the following panelists:

In addition to the panel, there are several education forums including the keynote presentation by Raymond Muscat, the former Senior Vice President of Manufacturing Research and New Product Operations at furniture manufacturer Herman Miller, pre-show workshops featuring subject matter experts and unique presentation theaters on the show floor. These educational sessions will provide participants with the tools and know-how to improve products and processes, cut costs and understand new technologies, ideas and insights.
