This week Tony Lewis, a freshman business major at Rollins College and a Winter Park High School graduate, presented the first neighborhood app expressly designed for Baldwin Park. The app, which is now available on the Apple iTunes app store and the Google Play app store and is named [Baldwin Park Black](http://r3ady.eu/5ys0), contains neighborhood news, a complete business directory and multiple types of promotions and discounts.
œBaldwin Park is a great place to live, and I felt that the community deserved an app that makes being a Baldwin Park resident even better,” explains Tony. œFor the last year Ive been waiting tables at the Colibri Mexican restaurant, and I noticed that there wasnt really a good way for residents to keep track of whats going on. Also, businesses need a way to communicate with their most loyal customers.”
Baldwin Park Black incorporates eight different functionalities. In addition to the news section and the directory, it includes a signup for monthly prize drawings, loyalty cards and coupons. The app also has its own access to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. According to Lewis, œIm planning on adding new functionalities as soon as we get the project off the ground!”
When asked, Lewis commented that in the first week on the app stores, over two hundred people have already downloaded the new app. œMy goal is to have at least four thousand users by the end of the year. The businesses that partner with us will be able to offer special deals to our users and well be sending out push notifications on their behalf. Our phones are always with us, and for local businesses theres no better way to reach potential customers than being in the palm of their hand.”
Baldwin Park Black can be downloaded for free from the [Apple app store](http://httpslink.com/pdy4) or the Google Play Store. More information can be found at [www.BaldwinParkBlack.com](http://r3ady.eu/5ys0) or by phone 866-833-1354.
