On 1st of January 2016 the innovative software company community4you AG celebrated its 15th anniversary and can nowadays look back on a very successful corporate history and a rapid growth.

Start-up phase
2001: It all began with an entrepreneurship and the fascination for innovative technologies. At our head office, back then located at the TCC Technology Center in Chemnitz, started the conceptual design and implementation of an open-source “Enterprise Information System”. From our initial visionary idea of implementing a user-friendly, open-source platform for programming and management of digital data, available 24/7 from any location and in any language, has developed the basis for all software products of the company: open-EIS.

Thanks to the integration platform open-EIS various application modules as well as functionalities of third party systems can be combined in a tailor-made solution. Key technologies such as service-oriented architecture, integrated mapping and modeling of business processes provide the foundation for robust enterprise applications. All software products and solutions of community4you AG are implemented on the basis of the enterprise technology open-EIS and are characterised by a large number of unique selling points.

Among industry giants such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Apple, Google and Software AG community4you AG is one of a few companies worldwide developing business applications on the basis of a proprietary integration platform. The underlying open-EIS technology of our software products supports any operating system and guarantees to customers a high degree of flexibility, scalability and efficiency.

Messe Frankfurt has been our first key account employing the open-EIS based fair management systems comm.fair and comm.ticket. The open-EIS technology and its unique selling points have been crucial for the decision of a renowned company such as Messe Frankfurt GmbH in favour of a software from a fledgling start-up company. Today these software products are in use at many other trade fair companies worldwide such as the trade fair of Hannover in order to administrate optimally their business processes. Having gained a foothold in such a competitive market segment is a great proof for the quality of the products of community4you AG.
 
Representative office “Villa Hahn”
With the successful establishment of community4you AG on the national and international market, the number of employees increased significantly and thus an enlargement of the premises was required. We have been blessed to find a suitable property with particularly rich history at the Haendelstrasse 9 in Chemnitz. The acquisition of the property was carried out in 2003 under the contractual obligation to 50 new jobs within 10 years.

The professional restoration was performed according to the official requirements for preservation of monuments within 11 months. The investment in the construction works amounted to almost one million euros. The relocation of the company took place in 2004.

An exceptional highlight in the history of community4you AG has been the renaming of the representative office of the company in “Villa Hahn” in 2008. Naming the villa after the industry pioneer Prof. Dr. Carl Hahn is for us an honour as well as a motivation for exceptional achievements, innovation power and agile entrepreneurship in the economic region of West Saxony by following the example of the family Hahn.

Even Today Carl Hahn is glad to come back in the home of his young years. On June 24, 2014 shortly before the 88th birthday of Prof. Dr. Carl Hahn, community4you AG honored his life’s work with the unveiling of a portrait bust exposed at a distinguished place in the villa.

The way to a global player
community4you AG has succeeded on the international market with its product line for enterprise resource planning that supports the mapping of business processes and their integration in arbitrary ERP scenarios through configurable rules. The comm.fleet product line is based on the open-EIS integration platform and consists of the following – mutually compatible – products:

An increasing number of customers in Germany as well as worldwide are utilising the leading-edge software products of our company, which has been transformed in a stock corporation in 2014. In Germany we can count as customers many DAX listed corporations and large enterprises. With its manifold award-winning flagship product, the fleet management software comm.fleet, community4you AG is a European market leader. With our business software covering the full range of fleet management requirements are currently managed more than half a million of vehicles and objects at more than 170 customers in 18 countries.

A significant revenue and profit growth have led to a concomitant enlargement of personnel. Since its foundation community4you AG has achieved a permanent increase of manpower and is thus contributing to the success of the economic region of Chemnitz. community4you AG has won several awards and has been honoured as a ‘Hidden Champion’ from the IHK Südwestsachsen (IHK of Southwestern Saxony). Furthermore, every year since 2012 the company has received the awards ‘INDUSTRIEPREIS BEST-OF-IT & Softwarelösungen für die Industrie‘ (INDUSTRY AWARD BEST-OF IT & software solutions for the industry) and ‘INNOVATIONSPREIS-IT BEST-OF-Branchensoftware/ERP’ (INNOVATION AWARD IT BEST- OF industry software/ERP“).
