SANTA CLARA, CA — (Marketwired) — 03/22/16 — Inphi Corporation (NYSE: IPHI), a leading provider of high-speed, mixed signal semiconductor solutions for the communications, computing and data center markets, today announced the production availability of the industry–s lowest power Clock and Data Recovery (CDR) Retimer for module applications. Inphi–s IN012525-CQ CMOS CDR is a quad retimer IC designed for multi rate operation of 10G/25G/28G speeds.
Designed for modules, Inphi–s low power CDR retimer IC delivers the industry–s most aggressive performance metrics on mW/Gbps with a total power of only 370mW. The CDR Retimer IC supports continuously self-adapting receivers on all its interfaces. This combination makes the IN012525-CQ CDR IC ideally suited for high density CFP2 / CFP4 / QSFP28 module applications.
“We are excited to advance Inphi–s 100G connectivity product roadmap with the production availability of the low power CDR retimer IC for CFP2/CFP4/QSFP28 modules,” said Siddharth Sheth, vice president, Networking Interconnect, Inphi. “This CDR retimer IC will relieve the pressure that our customers are under as they continue to push the envelope on lower power as 100G module solutions continue to ramp in the cloud and service provider networks.”
“Today–s data centers need optical modules with advanced components for high bandwidth applications in order to support the growing data rates and density while simultaneously reducing overall power consumption. Inphi–s new CDR has industry leading power consumption that is required for 100G cloud and service provider networks,” said Bardia Pezeshki, CEO at Kaiam.
