NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 03/02/16 — Women in Comms (WiC), the not-for-profit, independent initiative providing information, networking, mentorship, access to jobs and support for women in the next-gen communications industry founded by Light Reading, is pleased to invite you to our inaugural networking breakfast, taking place on Thursday, March 10, in Denver, Colo.
WiC, along with its 26 member companies including many of the leading telecom service providers, vendors and industry associations from across the globe, will be hosting this free event on how to build your own personal brand.
Patty Kummrow, Vice President of the Platform Engineering Group at Intel, will give opening remarks and then join a service provider power panel with Marnie Miron, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Rogers Communications; Cynthia Carpenter, Vice President of Product Management and Business Services at Charter Communications; and Lisa Miller, SVP of Wholesale, Indirect, Inside and Content Sales Channels at Level 3 Communications.
The women will share their personal stories and discuss what it means to build your own personal brand, advocate for yourself, make yourself invaluable to the company outside of just your core job description and always keep advancing. They will also save plenty of time to take your questions.

This is Light Reading–s seventh Women in Comms networking breakfast, but the first of four quarterly events to be hosted by Women in Comms as an independent non-profit. WiC launched in January 2016 with 21 inaugural members and has since grown to include 26 members and 21 Board of Advisors.
