Microsoft Empowers Canadians to Do More With Their Extra Day This Leap Year

Rounding out the on February 29, Microsoft Canada and six inspiring storytellers will collaborate to deliver 24 Acts of Empowerment nationwide on this leap year–s extra day.

Earlier this month, Microsoft spotlighting real Canadians whose courage and passion empowers them to do more each day using technology. The four-week campaign encourages Canadians to participate in the conversation of empowerment through the hashtag #My24Hrs.

“Inspired by the series, these 24 Acts of Empowerment are wide reaching and involve far more than 24 people. These remarkable storytellers took us on a journey to see how they achieve more, and now with their help, we hope to inspire Canadians to do the same,” said Marc Seaman, VP of Education for Microsoft Canada. “At Microsoft, we–ve always believed in the power of technology and its ability to connect people. We hope this campaign will inspire Canadians to get involved, and to share how they will use their extra 24 hours to empower others.”

Aligned with this principle that people can achieve remarkable things when technology is within reach, the 24 Acts of Empowerment centre on technology, education and community and include:
