MetaVis Announces Office 365 and SharePoint Permissions Management Tool

PHILADELPHIA, PA — (Marketwire) — 08/11/11 — MetaVis Technologies, Inc. today announced for SharePoint and Office 365, which allows users to analyze and manage security permissions, groups/users and levels across multiple on-premise or hosted SharePoint site collections and farms. With MetaVis Security Manager, SharePoint administrators will be able to see and manage what a user has access to and who can access specific sites; identify orphaned users; and compare or synchronize permissions across SharePoint 2010, 2007 or Office 365, including hybrid environments.

MetaVis Security Manager is the first permissions management tool for Microsoft Office 365 which launched in June. Since the solution is totally agentless, users can manage hosted SharePoint environments such as Office 365 in the same way as on-premise systems.
