The Open Source Data Center Conference is one of the leading international open source events. The English speaking conference is dedicated to open source solutions in complex IT infrastructures. In 2016 the thematic focus is „Infrastructure as Code“, „Containers and Databases“ and „Tools & Infrastructure“.
The complete conference program is finalized. Well known experts of the open source scene will be expected this year. Among them John Willis, director of ecosystem development for Docker; Ján Lieskovský, software engineer at Red Hat; Jonathan Boulle, working at CoreOS; Kris Buytaert, one of the instigators of the devops movement, currently working for Inuits; Monica Sarbu, creator of the Packetbeat open source project and team lead of the Beats inside Elastic.
The opening keynote will be held by Dawn Foster talking about “Open Source: A Job and an Adventure“. Dawn is a PhD student at the University of Greenwich and a consultant at The Scale Factory in London. She spent the past 20 years working at companies like Puppet Labs, Intel, Jive Software. Dawn has spoken at dozens of industry events, including many Linux Foundation events, OSCON, SXSW, FOSDEM and many more.
The English speaking conference program is complemented with three in-depth workshops, taking place on April 26. Bookable as conference add-ons are „Advanced Graphing – with Graphite“, „Docker – Virtual Containers“ and „Logstash – Enterprise Logfile Management“. The number of participants is limited to 12 attendees each.
