AirTight Networks Is Now Mojo Networks; Introduces New Cloud Managed Wi-Fi Packages and Updated 802.11ac Wave 2 Access Points

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 01/11/16 — Mojo Networks, the company formerly known as AirTight Networks, today announced its corporate rebrand, new managed Wi-Fi packages that deliver innovative cloud solutions for prolific Wi-Fi access, and the upcoming release of new 802.11 Wave 2 access points powered by industry leading Qualcomm® VIVE solutions with Qualcomm® MU|EFX MU-MIMO of Qualcomm Atheros, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated.

Mojo is built from the ground up to deliver a rich suite of cloud-first access, security and engagement capabilities, focused on Wi-Fi infrastructure that can scale up to thousands of users across an organization. Mojo has operated in the cloud since its founding in 2003, with a long history of pioneering security innovation in Global 2000 corporations and high levels of government. Today, Mojo Networks has customers from around the world, and was recently recognized as a major player in IDC–s MarketScape for WLAN vendors. Major brands such as Citrix, Pinkberry and the U.S. Senate trust Mojo because of its reputation for delivering the secure, large-scale support enterprises need when deploying Wi-Fi solutions.

The rise of the cloud subscription economy and the adoption of cloud services in enterprises signals a significant shift in the WLAN business. Cloud managed Wi-Fi presents an innovative and cost-effective model for the industry. Cloud managed Wi-Fi is poised to be a $1.7 billion business by 2018 (Source: IDC), and will require a greater focus on value-centric cloud solutions that benefit the whole ecosystem.

In light of this emerging business opportunity, Mojo is launching two new cloud-managed Wi-Fi packages that simplify the value proposition of its cloud solutions with all-inclusive pricing that covers use of its cutting-edge 802.11ac access point hardware:

Enterprise

All-inclusive Wi-Fi access with no controller or supplemental costs, feature and security upgrades included, and 24/7 customer support.

Mojo–s award-winning WIPS (wireless intrusion prevention system) solution includes automated event alerting and classification rules, threat monitoring and more.

Enterprise Elite

Built-in functionality to engage and deliver enhanced services to Wi-Fi end-user customers, including social login, customer outreach and engagement analytics.

“We have our Fortune 500 customers and technology leaders telling us that they want their wireless networks to be managed from the cloud, and they are looking beyond simple hardware considerations when choosing a vendor,” said Rick Wilmer, CEO at Mojo Networks. “We are an established player born and raised in the cloud, and we have the DNA to make a major impact on how the world deploys and manages Wi-Fi.”

“The market as a whole is increasingly considering subscription-based WLAN models while demanding more value from every dollar spent,” said Nolan Greene, Research Analyst, Network Infrastructure at IDC. “Mojo Networks– continued focus on providing a cloud-managed WLAN model and flexible pricing positions them as a viable option for many organizations as demand grows for opex-oriented solutions.”

Mojo is also releasing a high-performance 802.11ac Wave 2 access point in Q2 2016, the Mojo C120, which leverages the latest VIVE solution with Qualcomm MU|EFX MU-MIMO technology, and is designed to deliver superior performance. The access point will deliver a price competitive cloud managed solution to the segment. It will include a rich feature set specifically designed to support K-12 schools, university campus environments, distributed enterprises and large merchandise retailers that want a reliable Wi-Fi solution containing a rich feature set at an attractive price. The access point and new retail features will be showcased at Retail–s BIG Show 2016 hosted by the National Retail Federation on January 17-20 at Javits Convention Center in New York City.

“Qualcomm VIVE with Qualcomm MU | EFX MU-MIMO technology provides up to three times increased capacity and user speeds, allowing our OEMs to offer advanced Wi-Fi networking products with top notch performance as well as excellent user experience,” said Gopi Sirineni, senior director, product management, Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. “We are extremely pleased to work with Mojo Networks to bring their first MU-MIMO enabled cloud managed next generation access points to market.”
