Proxmox, Inc. released version 2.1 of their e-mail gateway software Proxmox Mail Gateway 2.1. All log files from the last 7 days can be queried and the results are summarized by an intelligent algorithm. The message tracking center is very fast and powerful, tested on Proxmox sites processing 1 million emails per day.
The e-mail gateway supports blocking emails on SMTP level that means identifying unwanted emails before the emails are transferred to the network – saving bandwidth and processing power. Proxmox uses greylisting, SPF, real time blacklist and receiver verification. The local DNS cache supports the Spamhaus data feed service, improving processing speed and quality of service.
“We recommend using virtualization – the new version 2.1 supports all VMware products, Virtuozzo and OpenVZ”, said Dietmar Maurer, CTO of Proxmox.
Proxmox combines open source technologies with professional services and easy installation and configuration. Focusing to virtualization technologies, the flagship product Proxmox Mail Gateway is not only optimized to run on physical hardware. We support virtual environments like VMware, Virtuozzo, OpenVZ and others. OS virtualization like Virtuozzo and OpenVZ is perfectly suited to run the Proxmox HA Cluster for delivering highest availability and performance.
