Telco, Service Provider and Enterprise Leaders Join OpenDaylight Project

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 11/11/15 — OPNFV Summit – The , a community-led and industry-supported open source platform to advance Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), today announced that (ALE), , and have joined the project at the Silver level to advance the development of an open, common platform for SDN and NFV.

The project is also pleased to announce that four individuals have joined the (AG) to provide technical input to the OpenDaylight developer community. New advisors include Vesko Pehlivanov, vice president, Technology Services Architecture and Strategy, Credit Suisse; Wade Shao, principal engineer, Network Platform department, Tencent; Johan Gustawsson, network architect, TeliaSonera Group; and Jon Beasley, principal architect, Technical Services and Connectivity, Thomson Reuters.

Johan Gustawsson is a network architect at TeliaSonera Group, a service provider headquartered in Stockholm with a presence in a host of countries through different brands and home to one of the world–s most extensive (Tier 1) IP backbones. He is currently focusing his efforts on SDN architecture and design for, and across, different domains — including NFV environments. Gustawsson holds a degree of Science in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology and is an active Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) in the Service Provider track.
