MARKHAM, ONTARIO — (Marketwired) — 11/11/15 — VIQ Solutions Inc. (“VIQ”, “VIQ Solutions” or the “Corporation”) (TSX VENTURE: VQS) is pleased to announce that VIQ Dataworxs has been awarded an Audioworxs enterprise capture and workflow system contract with a police department in Colorado.
The customer is one of a growing number of forward-looking police forces in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK and Ireland who are cost-effectively increasing the digitization of their police and customer service and reporting operations. The customer will digitally capture officers– field reports on secured mobile handheld devices and manage the digital audio report through a sophisticated city-wide workflow using the Audioworxs enterprise system. The efficiency gains will enable the customer to rapidly process more field reports with less office time and more consistency from a larger number of officers while achieving a much higher level of automation across the department via a sophisticated digital workflow.
The contract will continue to expand in 2016 as more of the department–s 150 plus officers and detectives begin using the new Audioworxs platform.
The Audioworxs platform was selected because of the superior sophisticated workflow, enhanced management capabilities and the modular approach to the solution, enabling the customer to continue digitizing additional aspects of their field reports and back-end collaborative processes. Over time, additional features such as speech recognition, additional audio and video channels and smart phones will be available to officers.
Another crucial component of the contract was VIQ Dataworxs– agnostic approach to hardware. The customer was able to seamlessly move from their existing audio capture and management system, including the recording hardware, to Audioworxs without the need for any significant infrastructure expenditure.
