MILPITAS, CA — (Marketwired) — 09/10/15 — (ZL), the leader in unified information governance and analytics for enterprise-class organizations, today announced its financial support for the “” concert and fundraiser, organized for the East Palo Alto Charter School (EPACS) and East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy (EPAPA). The event, held in Palo Alto on the evening of September 12, will raise money for local charter schools which empower students from under-privileged communities to achieve college admission and long-term academic success.
Both EPACS and EPAPA were established with the explicit purpose of equipping all students — regardless of background — with the critical skills necessary to excel in college and beyond. While East Palo Alto has historically struggled with disproportionately high dropout rates as high as 60%, EPACS and EPAPA provide uniquely tailored educational opportunities for K-12 students in need, and currently have a 100% college acceptance rate for their graduates. No student graduates without the skills necessary to succeed in college, and each student has an academic plan customized to personal needs.

“I find it extremely gratifying to work for a company that has a commitment to improving the community,” noted Tom Mulligan, a ZL Technologies Product Specialist. “Our work with EPACS aligns with my personal ethos, as I already volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Bay Area. Both organizations provide resources, time, and guidance so that youth can reach their potential both inside and outside of the classroom.”
