BERKELEY, CA — (Marketwired) — 08/11/15 — Building on 40 years of success in presenting computing conferences featuring cutting edge research, the nonprofit USENIX Association today announced — a uniquely positioned vendor-neutral security conference. With support from founding sponsor Google, Enigma will be held January 25-27, 2016, in San Francisco featuring an impartial program presented by academic and industry experts offering immediately useful responses to security breaches.

Enigma offers a different scope and format than the more academic USENIX Security Symposium (August 12-14, 2015, in Washington, D.C.), the preeminent forum for presenting groundbreaking refereed papers now in its 24th year.
The three-day Enigma security conference will bring together researchers and practitioners from industry, academia, and government. The conference will present dynamic, content-rich 30-minute peer-reviewed talks focusing on emerging threats and novel attacks. Topics covered may include: cryptanalysis; longitudinal study of attack trends; synthesization of knowledge of specific attack or abuse landscapes, and case studies of specific attacks.
