Chow has been recognized for his role as a results-driven operations leader, his extensive technology depth and thought leader qualities, and as a dedicated supporter of community-based organizations.
“Dan has evolved his career, starting out as an engineer at BECU and Boeing, to a senior manager of compute systems at the Walt Disney Company, to where he is today, leading the manufacturing operations of a $65 million company. Chow was hired for the role of COO responsible for manufacturing operations and customer deployment at Silicon Mechanics in January 2014, and has morphed his role to also include responsibilities as CTO serving as a product strategist and technical evangelist for the company. He previously served as a senior manager of storage and compute systems for The Walt Disney Company, providing technical leadership and guidance to the IT staff and product technology evaluations for company purchases. Chow originally started working with Disney in 2006 as a lead storage administrator with the Disney Interactive Media Group, followed by a stint as the manager of storage and backup for The Walt Disney Company before being promoted to a senior manager in April 2012.
