• Successful implementation already in place in Germany
• Demo of “arvato CSDB” serialization solution on live system
Gütersloh, Germany – The second securPharm Info Day will take place on 22 and 23 July in Frankfurt am Main. Representatives from the European Commission, the Federal Ministry of Health as well as other selected experts will be reporting first hand on the current status of the securPharm project. arvato Systems will also be on hand with a specialist team to present their serialization solution, CSDB, in addition to an international blueprint for the verification of medicines and pharmaceutical products.
These anti-forgery guidelines will provide the pharmaceutical industry with a number of measures for combating counterfeit drugs. Details concerning the characteristics and technical specifications for security features as well as the modalities of verification will be determined by the European Commission in legislation scheduled for publication in mid-July 2015. At the second securPharm Info Day, visitors will have the opportunity to find out the current status of this upcoming legislation as well as to obtain more information on solutions and possibilities for implementation.
arvato Systems serialization solution on the road to national and international success
arvato Systems, an IT specialist in the healthcare industry, will be using a live system to demonstrate its serialization solution “arvato CSDB” (Corporate Serialization Database) in conjunction with machinery provided by OCS Checkweighers, specialists in weighing and inspection technology. This IT platform universally covers all serialization numbering for pharmaceutical manufacturers at both corporate and site level (levels 3 and 4), from production and administration to communication with production lines to reporting to national authorities.
Following the completion of a successful pilot project in Germany as part of the securPharm initiative, the European Medicines Verification Organization (EMVO) has named arvato Systems as an official service provider. This means arvato Systems can officially provide European countries with a so-called “National Blueprint Service” for the verification of pharmaceutical products.
How will serialization data be managed?
Answers to this question as well as expert information regarding the development of a valid management structure will be provided by Peter Koop (Director Solutions Management, arvato Systems) in his keynote speech “Key Success Factors for the Successful Management of Serialization Data” on 22 July at 3:55pm.
