Brian James brings more than fifteen years of experience marketing IT management software, including a deep background in performance and availability management. Vaughn Balter brings more than fifteen years of IT management and sales experience in IT software and services, including an extensive background in application performance management and service assurance solutions.

James, as senior vice president of corporate marketing, leads OpTier worldwide marketing from campaigns, communications and public relations to social media, analyst relations and branding. James reports to OpTier-s executive vice president of marketing and corporate development Motti Tal. Balter, as vice president of mid-marketing sales, is responsible for managing the company-s offerings and sales efforts for mid-market companies in North and South America. Balter reports to Colin Rowland, OpTier-s senior vice president of worldwide sales.
Prior to OpTier, James served in multiple worldwide marketing roles at companies including Mercury (now HP), Nimsoft (now CA), Cittio (CA via Nimsoft), Oracle and others where he consistently connected with the customers- challenges, grew the brand and grew the business. James has an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and engineering degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Michigan.

While at Coradiant, Balter-s sales team increased the total number of sales transactions and grew the customer base by approximately 800% from 2007-2010. Before Coradiant, Balter held sales positions with Identify (BMC), Compuware, Mercury (HP) and in IT management with CitiStreet (now ING). He studied economics at the University of North Florida, served six years in the United States Navy and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
