NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 06/18/15 — Pinterest officially announced the Marketing Developer Partner Ads API today, naming Kinetic Social, a leading social marketing data and technology company, one of the initial launch partners.
Since beta testing on the Pinterest platform several months ago, Kinetic has been helping brands such as footwear maker Teva, a division of Deckers Brands, and its agency, Heat, reach consumers through Pinterest–s Promoted Pins, delivering robust earned media and high engagement rates. Overall, the initial Teva Pinterest campaign garnered an extremely high engagement rate for an ad, with a significant percentage of that engagement coming from incremental earned value.
“Over the past few years, Teva has evolved to be a true lifestyle brand. With trends and our audience changing, we had to figure out how to authentically connect with our new customer base,” said Erika Brakken, Director of Marketing, Teva. “Audiences are becoming more aware of brand advertising and our goal was to develop a social media strategy that would engage this new crop of consumers in a real way on one of their favorite online destinations: Pinterest.”
Brands that use the Kinetic platform can leverage targeting on Pinterest to help them deliver ad messages to the audiences that perform best. Kinetic is also offering creative supervision, helping brands develop images and ad copy that deliver the highest levels of engagement on Pinterest–s unique platform.
“As the premier visual discovery platform on the web, Pinterest gives brands like Teva a virtual storefront to showcase their products,” said Kirby Todd, Social Media Manager, Heat. “By listening to the Teva audiences– preferences on and off social media, we were able to make Teva a relevant part of their world. Using Pinterest was one of the most instrumental pieces of our process, and Kinetic–s ability to measure interest was a great help in getting stellar results for our client. Audiences really responded to the authentic nature of our posts resulting in an increase of traffic to the Teva site and an up-tick in sales.”
“Pinterest has been in demand for quite some time, and we–re happy to help brands enter this exciting new world of advertising,” said Don Mathis, CEO of Kinetic Social. “In just a short amount of time we–ve seen extremely positive results for all of the campaigns we–ve run. We–re incredibly excited about Pinterest–s potential as it further develops its advertising capabilities and helps brands find their target audiences.”
Kinetic is also a Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer and a Twitter Official Partner, helping advertisers reach unique audiences through paid media across both social networks. In the past year, Kinetic has updated its technology with new tools like the Consumer Insights Dash, which allows advertisers to go beyond impressions to show the narrative around why certain audience segments perform better. Brands and agencies use Kinetic–s self serve technology to run their own campaign initiatives.
