TEMPE, AZ — (Marketwired) — 05/29/15 — University of Advancing Technology (UAT) is honored to announce that Cammie LeBlanc, International Business Development Manager at Intel, received one of this year–s Honorary Doctorate Degrees, awarded at the UAT commencement ceremony May 15, 2015, at the Mesa Arts Center. LeBlanc also delivered a moving commencement speech during the ceremony speaking of her journey where few women had gone before, into the world of Information Technology and Software Engineering.
LeBlanc, the first of her family to graduate from college, earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Northern Arizona University and was also a member of the Engineering Club. From there she became a Software Engineer and Security Specialist for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Her impressive background continues with an extensive career at Intel, where she has worked as a First Line Manager, Software Developer and now handles International Business Development, Program Management and she also serves as the Diversity Manager.
Much of LeBlanc–s work aligns with UAT–s Institutional Values, as she–s an engaging advocate for the future of STEM so that it is inviting to all and becomes a reflection of users.
