JACKSONVILLE, FL — (Marketwired) — 04/21/15 — Software developer Jonathan Jackson of Hashrocket, a web and mobile consultancy based in Jacksonville Beach, has been selected to give a presentation during RailsConf 2015, which takes place April 21-23 at the Atlanta Convention Center.
Jackson said his presentation, titled “Rails and EmberCLI: an Integration Love Story,” will focus on the emerging use of EmberCLI, considered one of the best JavaScript frameworks available today, and integrating it with Ruby on Rails, an open source technology used to create powerful Web applications.
“My presentation–s really a primer on the two different types of technologies we–re using,” Jackson said. “Rails is a framework that helps us solve and create applications really fast and has been around 10 years. But as clients and products need more dynamic content, like animation, we–ve incorporated more JavaScript into the code. Ember is an emerging JavaScript framework that–s been around about three years, so I–ll basically be talking about the roadmap that we have for making these two very popular technologies, Rails and Ember, work together.”
Jackson says the two technologies can be integrated effectively, and Hashrocket–s developers are currently building integration tools to create robust applications using both frameworks.
RailsConf has been the largest gathering of Rails developers in the world since 1996, and the 2015 conference marks the first time the conference has been held in the Southeast U.S.
