SILVER SPRING, MD — (Marketwired) — 03/31/15 — GRID Holdings LLC, a provider of multi-tenant data centers and IT infrastructure services, today announced the appointment of Mike Clemson as Vice President of Critical Infrastructure.
Reporting to Manny Mencia, GRID–s President, Clemson will oversee GRID–s Tier 3 / 4 data center facilities, operations employees, and related initiatives focused on uptime, security, and compliance. This includes GRID–S comprehensive best practices program supporting GRID–s expanding national platform of data centers that provide highly compliant colocation, managed services and hybrid cloud IT infrastructure services supporting the requirements of large enterprise and Federal Government customers.
In addition, Clemson will oversee integration of three recently acquired data centers of Sidus BioData, a leading provider of compliant services for FDA and HIPAA-HITECH regulated companies. GRID will provide Sidus– managed services and cloud solutions to the Life Sciences, health care and Federal Government sectors, with plans to extend the solutions across GRID–s national data center platform.

Previously, Clemson was with Carpathia where he directed their international footprint of mission critical facilities on four continents supporting commercial and federally compliant customers. He came to Carpathia through the acquisition of ServerVault where he was the VP of Facilities.
Prior to this, Clemson ran one of the largest data and operating centers in the southwestern US for Bank of America with over five acres of raised floor and a half million square feet of operating environments.
Clemson has participated in the development of industry standards for maintaining and operating concurrently maintainable data centers, and has delivered over 6,000 continuous days of uptime to data centers that were under his control.
Clemson received an undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
