CAMPBELL, CA — (Marketwired) — 03/30/15 — Exalt Wireless, the leading innovator of next-generation wireless connectivity systems for private networks and Internet infrastructure, today announced that it has made major inroads into the African market with sales of its ExtendAir G2 product to leading network operators in Nigeria and Egypt, with pending sales in South Africa, Ghana, and Tanzania. Specific customer wins include:
Sales of Exalt–s ExtendAir G2 product, in various bands including 7, 13, 18, and 23 GHz, to five large network operators in Nigeria. These operators are using the G2 product for last-mile connections to businesses, where the product–s zero-footprint form factor and ease of installation make it an ideal choice.
In Egypt, the second-largest network operator in Africa has selected Exalt as its main supplier of 5GHz microwave systems due to Exalt–s broad range of solutions and its products– ability to deliver high availability and performance in high-interference areas.
A major network provider with 17 networks across Africa has deployed Exalt–s ExtendAir G2 product in Nigeria for business-to-business network connectivity applications, and anticipates deployments in South Africa, Ghana and Tanzania.
The G2 product line provides a number of advantages to the operators and their customers, including:
Ease of installation, and no requirement for indoor rack space with its zero footprint format.
The ability to increase capacity from 25Mbps to 400Mbps through software license keys that can be deployed remotely without the need to visit the sites.
The ability within the product to limit the data throughputs on the radio, so operators can offer any capacity from 1Mbps to 400Mbps, coupled together with the enhanced Ethernet statistics advising on the user throughout on the radios. These capabilities provide a sales potential for the operator to deliver additional capacity to the end user based on reports to them on actual user throughput on the service.
A unique removable diplexer function, meaning that spares holding for remote locations can be kept to an absolute minimum.
Enhanced networking features allowing multiple users to be connected in a building, but keeping their traffic separated within the network at all times.
Unrivalled TCO for the G2 platform, with its low CAPEX costs, coupled with its high reliability and network performance for minimal OPEX costs.
“Wireline infrastructure challenges make Africa a huge potential market for wireless network connectivity, and Exalt–s breadth of wireless solutions, ease of deployment, high performance and low cost per bit make our products ideal for this environment,” said Amir Zoufonoun, CEO of Exalt Wireless. “Following our previous wins in Africa within the enterprise wireless connectivity market, major service providers in Africa are also now standardizing on Exalt solutions, and we anticipate continued strong growth throughout the continent as we go forward.”
