LOS ANGELES, CA — (Marketwire) — 07/26/11 — The rapidly exploding world of online video, led by a cadre of YouTube personalities, many of whom have more viewers than late night television hosts Jay Leno and David Letterman, will be the focus of the second annual VidCon event, being held July 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, California. More than 2,500 people from around the world are expected to attend the sold-out event, which is double the number of attendees at last year-s inaugural conference.
VidCon is the largest gathering of the online video community that consistently draws millions of subscribers and billions of views. The conference will kick-off on Thursday, July 28 with a special Industry Day, with specific programming and activities focusing on those who work in the online video space and entertainment industry. The following two days will be the Community Track, where thousands of online video fans will get to meet their favorite YouTube celebrities and enjoy live music and discussions from some of the medium-s most popular personalities.
