IRVINE, CA — (Marketwire) — 07/26/11 — Comtrend Corporation, a global supplier of advanced networking solutions, today announced the launch of a new Early Adopter Program (EAP) that gives service provider partners a prominent and ongoing voice in Comtrend-s product development process.
Partners joining the EAP will have direct access to Comtrend executives and product development teams. They will have the opportunity to review and contribute to product roadmap and strategy sessions, and evaluate and provide feedback on new products before they are released. The dialogue is meant to work in both directions with participating partners given an open environment to air candid criticisms, offer suggestions and most importantly, articulate new ideas.
“We are extremely excited about the Early Adopter Program and believe it is a crucial step towards building better networking solutions and enabling the success of our service provider partners,” stated John DiFrenna, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We are only as successful as our partners and we need to listen and learn for what they are seeing and hearing in the marketplace. With their input and driving role in the product development process we will be able to design cutting edge technology that positions all of us for healthy long-term growth.”
Technology areas that the program will focus on include IPTV, VOIP, security, various home networking technologies (including HPNA, MoCA, WiFi), as well as Set Top Boxes and SmartMeter — over various mediums, such as copper, fiber, satellite, and cellular.
Participants can expect to influence many aspects of CPE such as integration of home networking technologies in various gateways. They will also be asked to contribute to software development across the Comtrend product portfolio, with some specific emphasis put on the remote management software CT-ACS.
Participation in the EAP is limited to Comtrend partners. Those partners interested in joining should contact their account manager for further details.
EAP partners must have Comtrend technology deployed with an existing stream of paying customers or in a test-only environment. The program is currently limited to companies with headquarters and operations in the United States, Canada and other American territories. Partners also must commit to being responsive and active participants on a regular basis.
