FreshGrade Releases New iPad App Bringing Better Collaboration to the Classroom

Leading education technology company, FreshGrade, announced today it has released a new iPad app, to round out their suite of mobile offerings.

Leaders in education are challenging traditional report cards and parent communication tactics that have been used for decades. FreshGrade is giving teachers a new and efficient way to capture, document and communicate learning that can be shared with parents in real-time. “Right now, report cards are a periodic event that provides limited insight into the progress of a child–s learning; the work that the teacher does to support that child; or context for why the specific grade was given,” says FreshGrade CEO, Lane Merrifield. “Our goal is to provide more meaningful information in real-time rather than at the end of each term.”

For older grades, teachers can also set assignments for the students and have them document their own learning, upload files and make self-reflections through the dedicated student app. These flipped classroom capabilities are particularly useful for reducing workload for secondary teachers that have multiple classes.
