FAIRFAX, VA — (Marketwired) — 03/02/15 — , the market leader in advanced endpoint threat protection, today announced that has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing. Applebaum most recently served as vice president of sales operations and strategic pre-sales at energy-focused big data analytics company , where he built a global sales support organization and accelerated revenue attainment for new reps, in advance of a successful IPO in 2014. At Q1 Labs and IBM, Applebaum–s execution of major product launches, thought leadership content and sales enablement helped more than double the sales pipeline for Q1 Labs products in one year. In his role as director of product marketing at Q1 Labs, he was instrumental in advancing the company–s vision and raising its profile in the market. Applebaum also held key marketing positions at Novell, where he led the global launch of SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 and served on the Linux senior management team that produced record profit for the business unit.
“I–m personally excited to welcome Michael Applebaum to our experienced executive team,” said Ghosh. “Invincea has always been at the vanguard in re-inventing security on endpoints — driving the industry toward non-signature-based technology that can protect against advanced threats, unknown malware, and zero-day exploits. Michael joins the team at a critical juncture, on the back of dramatic growth and adoption in 2014, and as enterprises are now trying to get in front of threats in 2015 with Invincea, rather than merely reacting to the last major breach. As we prepare in the coming months to re-define the market–s expectations of endpoint security, Michael will be critical for driving market awareness of Invincea and the new breed of endpoint security solutions for enterprises. We could not be more excited for the experience Michael brings to the team.”
