MOORESVILLE, NC — (Marketwired) — 02/17/15 — , a leader in health care revenue cycle technology, today announced an integration agreement with , one of the nation–s leading health information networks. This agreement will allow for integration of Availity–s and workflow services with Acryness– technology platform.
In response to customers– growing need to solve the patient responsibility challenge prior to or at the point of service, this integration is designed to provide Acryness– clients with a seamless solution that supports the entire patient portion of the revenue cycle — from initial patient engagement to patient payment posting and bank reconciliation.
According to Hal Andrews, vice president and general manager of hospital solutions, Availity, “We appreciate the opportunity to partner with Acryness to integrate our Patient Access services with their SelfPay Works platform. Many healthcare organizations are seeking solutions to growing patient balances, and share Acryness– vision to deliver a comprehensive workflow solution. We believe that the addition of our Patient Access workflow solution to the other features of their SelfPay Works platform will create a robust end-to-end solution for patient collections and payments.”
The integration will connect all the patient access tools to deliver accurate estimations of patient financial responsibility, which will help increase up-front collections. As the preferred vendor for patient access and revenue cycle workflow tools, the integration with Availity will increase up-front collections, improve patient communication and satisfaction, and reduce post-service collection costs.
“We chose a deep integration with Availity because of their strong ties and integration with the insurance provider networks and the breadth of their Patient Access services,” said Mark Relyea, president & CEO, Acryness. “The addition of Patient Access Suite, powered by Availity in combination with our SelfPay Works Payment Suite and Billing Suite addresses our client–s calls to connect all the dots between initial patient engagements to the end of the patient–s financial responsibility.”
The interactive scripting and guidance for point-of-service staff, insight into collections and user performance through reporting analytics will be delivered through Acryness– SaaS based platform, SelfPay Works Patient Access Suite. The agreement calls for Availity and Acryness to collaborate on the integration of their services. Clients that also elect to use all the features of Acryness– SelfPay Works Payment Suite and Billing Suite will effectively have one application for visibility and management of the entire patient portion of the revenue cycle.
“Over the past 15 years we have observed many instances where general industry approaches from BPO, health information systems, banking and financial services companies, lack flexibility or don–t fit the unique needs of our patient financial services clients. This announcement reflects our ongoing commitment to adding value and helping our clients solve their business problems,” said Relyea.
