SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 02/12/15 — , a leading Data Transformation Platform provider, today announced integration and ongoing development with , and . This announcement comes in advance of their sponsorship of the Strata + Hadoop World Conference in San Jose, California next week.
The MapR Distribution including Hadoop enables organizations to meet business-critical needs and manage big data applications that cannot afford to lose data, must run on a 24×7 basis, and require immediate recovery from node and site failures — all with a smaller data center footprint. The partnership with Trifacta allows MapR customers to extend their investment in Hadoop, simplifying complex data preparation tasks, improving data quality, and shrinking time-to-value for big data projects.
“Combining Trifacta with MapR enables data analysts to work productively with business data while benefiting from enterprise-grade Hadoop,” said Jon Posnik, vice president, business development, MapR Technologies. “We are excited to partner with Trifacta and provide our customers with sophisticated tools for data transformation and analysis.”
Together, Trifacta and Zoomdata enable self-service data preparation and analytics on Hadoop. Data analysts are able to independently go from raw data to dashboards by combining automated data wrangling from Trifacta with Zoomdata–s micro-query/data sharpening technology.
“With the expanding range of data sources and an increasing set of use cases for data analysis, there–s a growing need for tools that enable productive work with data,” said Justin Langseth, CEO and Founder of Zoomdata. “Greater integration with Trifacta allows our users to get more quickly to the insights that fuel their business decisions.”
The integration between Waterline and Trifacta allows architects to create a curated data supply chain, by cataloging information assets contained in Hadoop and feeding them directly into the transformation pipeline.
“Hadoop promises new business value, but even with available exploration tools, using data in Hadoop is like scavenging at a flea market,” said Alex Gorelik, founder and CEO, Waterline Data. “Pairing Waterline Data–s ability to automatically catalog data assets, enable metadata-based search, and discover data lineage with Trifacta–s leadership in transformation, cleansing, and enrichment improves agility with big data and downstream consumption.”
“A well-managed data lake is critical to success with Hadoop,” said Adam Wilson, CEO of Trifacta. “We are excited to expand our partner ecosystem, bringing together innovative solutions that enable data-driven businesses to improve big data productivity and ensure proper governance.”
Trifacta, MapR Technologies, Zoomdata and Waterline Data are all sponsors of the Strata + Hadoop World conference taking place February 17-21, 2015 in San Jose, California. More information on the conference can be found online at:
