DES MOINES, IA — (Marketwired) — 01/27/15 — Unite Private Networks (UPN) announced it has completed the initial phase of a nearly 700 mile fiber-optic network in Iowa. Construction was completed on the initial sites in the Des Moines metro on-time in December. The project is on track to be completed in fourth quarter 2015.
Late last year UPN announced construction had begun on the nearly 700 mile route that will create a diverse ring around the state, connecting all major metro areas in central and eastern Iowa including Des Moines, Ames, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Iowa City and Davenport.
