SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 01/20/15 — SmartRecruiters, the company that drives hiring success, today announced two key additions to its leadership team in Michael Johnson as chief sales officer and Jason Buss as recruitment innovation officer. These appointments follow a series of high-talent hires as SmartRecruiters makes an aggressive move into the enterprise space.
Formerly senior vice president of sales and U.S. lead at Avature, Johnson will serve as SmartRecruiters– chief sales officer to bring the all-in-one hiring and recruiting platform to enterprises looking to abandon their outdated ATS software and drive their hiring success.
“Adding Michael to our team is a huge step forward for SmartRecruiters,” said Jerome Ternynck, CEO of SmartRecruiters. “Mike is a proven pioneer and executive who is trusted by recruiting leaders at the world–s largest companies.”
Johnson has been a leader in the recruitment technology industry for the last two decades and has worked for such organizations as Yahoo and HotJobs.com before joining Avature, where he helped build the company from the ground up and oversaw sales and operations in the U.S.
“I joined SmartRecruiters because I knew they were the future of recruitment technology and hiring success,” said Johnson. “This industry is desperate for a great product and their all-in-one platform provides a seamless experience for both hiring teams and candidates, effectively replacing outdated and clunky ATS software. I–m excited for the opportunity to help bring the recruitment and hiring world into the 21st century with SmartRecruiters.”
Buss joins the team as recruitment innovation officer and brings nearly 20 years of experience as a global recruiting leader and hiring expert for such companies as Ameriprise Financial, Allianz and Russell Investments. As recruitment innovation officer, he will help build awareness, visibility and advocacy for the SmartRecruiters Hiring Success Platform and the new way of hiring.
“Jason is a great addition to SmartRecruiters and is an expert in this industry,” said Ternynck. “His wealth of knowledge and experience will help us provide enterprises with the knowledge they need to recruit and hire high-performing teams.”
In addition to his years of successfully leading talent acquisition strategies and teams at Fortune 500 corporations, Buss is also the creator and editor of the recruiting blog, Talent HQ, and the president and leader of the nation–s largest and most active regional recruiting community, Minnesota Recruiters.
“SmartRecruiters is providing enterprises with a new way to successfully recruit and hire their workforces,” said Buss. “I–m excited to join an elite team to deliver on its commitment to hiring success.”
