SUNNYVALE, CA — (Marketwired) — 01/20/15 — Today announced that Mark Anderson, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Palo Alto Networks, was appointed to the Avi Networks– board of directors. Prior to his work at Palo Alto networks, Mark was the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at F5 Networks.

Anderson currently spearheads the WW Sales and Global Customer Support organizations at Palo Alto Networks, the leader in enterprise security. Mark–s leadership has been instrumental to the impressive revenue and market share growth at the Company. Since joining Palo Alto Networks before their IPO in 2012, Mark lead a team that grew revenues more than 150%.
Likewise, during his tenure at F5, Anderson led Worldwide Sales and was instrumental in building a sales team that grew ADC market share from single digits to over 50%.
Prior to his work with F5 and Palo Alto Networks, Anderson served as the Executive Vice President of North American Sales at Lucent Technologies. Mark also led high performing Enterprise and Service Provider Sales Regions at Cisco Systems from 1997 to 2001.
A member of the UW Tyee Board of Advisors, Anderson is actively involved at the University of Washington and is also a founding member of the Advisory Board to the Foster School of Business– Sales Certificate Program at UW.
