(NASDAQ: IPAS), providing around the world for enterprises, and other strategic partners, has announced it is providing Melita, a mobile carrier located in Malta, with access to its global Wi-Fi network. Through partnering with iPass, Melita is offering its melitaWIFI Travel service to existing and new Melita mobile prepaid or pay-monthly customers, providing them with access to 15 million Wi-Fi hotspots located in in airports, airplanes, hotels and public areas worldwide.
, which is an expansion of the operator–s already popular domestic Wi-Fi service, melitaWIFI, aims to make it as easy as possible for customers to access Wi-Fi while they are travelling abroad. The service also aims to help customers stay connected on their smartphone and tablet devices, without incurring the expensive roaming fees charged by other operators.
To access melitaWIFI Travel, customers simply download and install the melitaWIFI Travel application, which is available for Android, Windows Phone, iPhone and iPad. By entering their MyMelita username and password, which can be simple credentials chosen by the user, customers can then use the application to access any of the available hotspots available nearby. Every customer who signs up to melitaWIFI Travel is provided with simple instructions and a FAQ, to ensure that using the service is as easy and pain free as possible.
