Education Leader SIMs (ELS) Begins Training Superintendents and Principals in VT and NJ School Districts

NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 01/14/15 — announces that and (NJPSA) signed on for Simulations workshops and future training for their Administrators across Vermont and New Jersey. Simulations are real-life situations brought to computer-based training for people to study, discuss and train on behavior and reactions. Many industries including aerospace engineering and healthcare use them to train individuals on more complex aspects of job skills and best practices.

Ken Spero, CEO of , states, “The attrition rate for administrators is a crisis. Nationally, every year, we lose 20% of our school leaders. In several states that number is dramatically higher. “At , we believe by opening opportunities for leaders to form valuable decision making skills through simulations, they can better adapt to situations in the field and be more prepared to not only face school and district challenges, but also grow their schools.”

Ken Page, Executive Director, , states, “We saw the workshop as a vehicle for teams to keep the emphasis on leadership. Too often principals and superintendents get bogged down in the administrative parts of their jobs. District Leaders saw a lot of value from the workshop and followed up with to bring additional training and simulations to their individual districts.”

Frank Palatucci, Director of Education Leadership Programs at , states, “We have started using several of the simulations in our professional development programs. Both experienced and novice leaders have found them to be excellent ways of discussing difficult educational issues. All agreed that the layering of questions, decisions, and impact has led to lots of rich conversation and caused more intense focus on the issues. It helped many administrators see things in a different way.”

The leadership team at is excited about the results of the workshop with and looks forward to implementing the program with the .
