Robert Lentz has more than 34 years of industry experience and is presently serving as president and CEO of Cyber Security Strategies. He has been recognized for his security work with the federal government, receiving many government awards such as the prestigious Secretary of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service, the highest-level honorary award the federal department of defense can bestow on a civilian employee.
Prior to Cyber Security Strategies, Lentz was the former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Cyber, Identity and Information Assurance (CIAA) in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Networks and Information Integration/Chief Information Officer. In addition, Lentz previously served as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Department of Defense overseeing the department–s $3 billion Information Assurance & Cyber security programs. He started his career with the National Security Agency (NSA) in 1975.
