Mr. Hess, who will report directly to AudioEye–s Chief Operating Officer, James Crawford, will be responsible for the pursuit of both direct and indirect sales opportunities utilizing the AudioEye software-as-a-service (“SaaS”) platform.

David Hess has more than 30 years of experience in the telecom and technology industries. Recently (2010 to 2012), he served as COO and CMO of KDDI Communications, during a period when the $400 million-plus revenue communications company was achieving record profits. In between, Mr. Hess built a successful consulting business as Chief Executive Officer of RKP Steering Group. From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Hess served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Rapid Link International, where he reorganized a $30 million business, returning it to EBITDA breakeven and negotiating the sale of the company. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Telia North America during a period (2001 to 2003) when annual revenue increased from $20 million to $65 million and net income rose from $1.2 million to $11.5 million. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Hess was President and Chief Executive Officer of LDI/NETNET, where he reversed a $120 million annual loss rate in six months and increased sales from $22 million to $40 million. Additionally, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of TotalTel Communications, Inc., where he increased revenue from $40 million to $140 million. Prior to his executive experience, Mr. Hess was a member of the senior sales management teams at MCI, United Telecom and Sprint. He earned a B.A. Degree in communications from Bowling Green State University.
