Some of the key initiatives the Company completed last year include the following:
Added over 100 route miles to its fiber-optic network in northern New Jersey and connected a number of new data centers including 800 Secaucus Avenue and 200b Meadowlands Avenue in Secaucus;
Constructed new monopoles and wireless infrastructure in New Jersey to support the low-latency connectivity needs of its wireless high-frequency trading customers;
Completed a transaction in which Ridgemont Equity Partners invested in a majority interest in the Company; and
Secured ample additional borrowing capacity to support continued rapid growth.
In addition, Cross River Fiber added a number of experienced telecommunications professionals to its team to help drive future growth and enhance its service offerings. Notably, Bill LaPerch, the former President and Chief Executive Officer of AboveNet, joined the Board and Robert Sokota, the former Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of AboveNet, joined the executive team.
