HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — (Marketwire) — 07/19/11 — AnyMeeting, the completely and webinar service, today announced that the Consejo Nacional de Alianzas Educativas (NCCEP – Mexico), an international non-profit organization that helps maximize the resources of public schools, is using its service to give webinars to teachers in Mexico. Part of a project called Alianzas Educativas, the webinars are designed to help teachers throughout the country become more familiar with computers and integrate technology into the classroom.
The goal of the project is to bring together technology experts at universities and companies with teachers and their classrooms that needed to better understand the issues related to technology and education. The council was seeking a webinar platform that could handle a large number of attendees that would fit within their budget.
After an extensive search for just the right platform, the council tried AnyMeeting, a completely free web conferencing service. They soon found that it offered the wide area access they needed with great connection stability, and the service fit any budgetary concerns because it-s free. “With AnyMeeting, we even have the option to record the webinars and send them to our contacts,” said Daniela Michel, Regional Coordinator, NCCEP – Mexico. “We also like that AnyMeeting, other than a small plug-in for screen sharing, does not require any software to download, which makes it easy to use.”
“We are thrilled that our service is part of an effort to bring technology into the classroom and is having an impact on education in Mexico,” said Costin Tuculescu, president and CEO of AnyMeeting. “As usage of our service grows, it-s exciting to see the many ways that AnyMeeting is used to bring people and information together.” In just over a year since being launched, AnyMeeting has grown exponentially in usage.
People from over 180 countries are already visiting AnyMeeting-s platform and are using millions of meeting minutes per month. NCCEP – Mexico is not only one of a growing number of organizations using AnyMeeting, but they have also agreed to be featured in a case study, which is available upon request and will be included in the AnyMeeting e-newsletter.
Established in 2006, the Consejo Nacional de Alianzas Educativas (NCCEP – Mexico) is an international non-profit organization that helps maximize resources of public schools through the creation and coordination of partnerships between governments, social organizations, enterprises, universities and other private and public institutions.
The council was made possible by the support of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the council-s parent organization, the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships, located in Washington, DC.
NCCEP – Mexico has benefited from the expertise and commitment of its partners in the United States, and is implementing the best educational practices from its sister organization, based on the successful work of two initiatives: GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) and Engaging Latino Communities in Education, sponsored by the W.K.
