SAN JOSE, CA — (Marketwire) — 07/18/11 — announced today it is part of the team assembled by Systems Made Simple, Inc. (SMS) that has been selected to be one of 14 prime technology contractors on the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) contract. The team was one of only 14 teams awarded the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, which has a five-year period of performance and an estimated total ceiling value of $12 billion.
VA announced the contracts awarded on July 1, 2011. The T4 program was established in response to a need to rapidly identify and close gaps in IT requirements and provide greater insight into VA-s total IT infrastructure. T4 gives VA access to the thoroughly-vetted best capabilities in the industry, eliminating the need for the traditional long acquisition lead-time and helps the department meet its Veteran small-business goals. The combined contracts will enable the most efficient use of technology for VA, and save money over time as a result of a more streamlined and competitive process.
As part of the SMS- core team of small business subcontractors, ADARA Networks can compete for task orders under the contract-s $12 billion ceiling over the next five years.
