ATLANTA, GA — (Marketwired) — 11/11/14 — , a leading talent strategy and talent acquisition consulting firm, announced today that Gail Winans, a talent acquisition industry leader with more than 20 years of experience helping employers connect with needed talent, has been appointed as the company–s vice president of Client Services. Leveraging a unique blend of retained executive search and corporate executive recruiting experience, Winans will be responsible for the firm–s business development and client satisfaction activities. She will also serve as a talent strategist, working with clients to optimize their talent acquisition practices.
Prior to joining Designs on Talent, Winans spent five years with Hewlett-Packard, leading executive recruiting for the Americas region. In this role, she helped develop and implement the global internal executive recruiting function while managing a team of in-house executive search professionals responsible for full life-cycle recruiting in the Americas. Winans previously served as director of Executive Recruiting for The Home Depot, where she was responsible for bringing the company–s executive search efforts in-house and creating a sustainable, measureable executive recruiting process. In that role, she also led executive and corporate talent acquisition initiatives for the enterprise.
Prior to her corporate roles, Winans honed her executive search experience at two of the world–s largest and most respected retained search firms, Korn/Ferry International and Herbert Mines Associates. Working with these companies, she was responsible for client management and search execution across various functions and industries. Winans began her career as a compensation analyst with Mercer. In addition to her professional experience, Winans holds a bachelor–s degree from Ohio Dominican University.
